Pier 39’s Infamous Sea Lions have taken over Pier 39’s K Dock since January
1990. A world wide attraction the sea lions frolic in the water or sunbathe on the
dock. In the winter months their population can reach up to 900 then they return to
the Channel Islands for breeding in the summer months. However, some stay year
round enjoying the easy life at Pier 39. Interactive exhibits are available on Level 2
plus there is an outdoor web cam located at Pier 39 so people at home can see you
watching these flippered friends.
